Sweet bread is a delicious classic recipe, but consider adding pineapple to it to make it even more juicy and delicious, flavorful and rich. 

Serve: 1 loaf 

Ingredients: 

6 oz butter, melted 

2/3 cup brown sugar 

2 eggs 

1 1/4 cup fresh crushed pineapple 

1 teaspoon vanilla extract 

1 cup whole wheat flour 

1 cup all purpose flour 

1 teaspoon baking soda 

1 teaspoon baking powder 

1 pinch of salt 

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 

1/2 cup dark chocolate chips 

1/2 cup raisins 


  • Let's Cook

 In a bowl, sift the flours with the salt, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Set aside. In another bowl, mix the melted butter with the eggs, pineapple and vanilla. Pour this mixture over the flour and mix well then fold in the chocolate chips and raisins. Spoon the batter into a loaf pan lined with baking paper. Bake in the preheated oven at 350F for 30-40 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the middle of the bread comes out clean.
