   Easy to make, but moist and flavorful, this cake will impress you with how fluffy it is. Plus, it only has ingredients that you can have in your pantry at any time of the year, therefore you can make it whenever you feel like something sweet. 

Serve: 1 9-inch round cake 

Ingredients: 

3/4 cup sugar 

3 eggs 

1/2 cup all purpose white flour 

1/2 cup whole wheat flour 

1/2 cup olive oil 

1 teaspoon baking powder 

1 teaspoon baking soda 

1 teaspoon vanilla extract 

4 apples, peeled, cored and sliced 

1 pinch of salt 


  • Let's Cook

   In a bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar until frothy then add the olive oil. In another bowl, sift together the flours with the baking powder and soda and a pinch of salt. Incorporate the flour into the egg mixture and add the vanilla extract. Spoon the batter into a 9-inch round cake pan and top with apple slices. Bake in the preheated oven at 350F for 30-40 minutes. When done, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan slightly then transfer on a serving plate and dust with plenty of powdered sugar.
